At The Breakdown Space, we believe that Love is the greatest gift that you can give someone, and it will never run out. This is because it is something that flows through you. Everyone has an obligation to spread Love the best way they know how, if we are to realize generational wellness. We believe that addiction, at the core, is a deeper yearning for Love and connection. And that is why we are here - To spread that Love and hopefully expose the disconnect.
We do this by facilitating safe spaces where people struggling with addiction can talk and reflect freely without being judged, normalizing mental health and addiction conversations to end the stigma and airing success stories as well as insights of people and families that have overcome addiction. Our hope is that by doing this, people who are currently struggling with addiction can recognize and accept the love and recognize and mend the disconnect. And families of people struggling with addiction can better understand how to heal, show love to their loved ones, as well as make it possible for them to find that much needed connection. Healing and restoration doesn't have to be bought, it can be experienced, and that will have a lasting impact both in the individual and the family.
